Station Road · two junctions
Independent driving means continuing towards a destination while staying responsible for the road in front of you. This short route has two different junctions, so you can practise reading signs early, choosing a lane in good time and adapting when the road layout changes.
Missing a turn is not an emergency: keep control, continue safely and look for the next safe opportunity. The useful habit is to balance route planning with observation, speed and space, rather than letting directions take your attention away from driving.
What to practise
- Look for direction signs early enough to plan without a last-minute move.
- Approach each junction at a speed that leaves time to observe and decide.
- Keep following the road safely if you do not take the intended turn.
