A connection between lessons
Your learner can practise theory, hazard perception and practical concepts on Learn and Drive. When they choose to share progress with you, their results can help you discuss what needs attention at the next lesson. Online practice supports your instruction; it does not replace supervised driving or your assessment of road readiness.
Private invitations, not an open learner list
Give your learner your invitation code. They decide whether to share and can withdraw permission. You see only the progress you are authorised to view. Your application details and learner relationships are not a public directory.
Your own professional profile
Introduce your teaching approach, transmission options and vehicle. Add your own portrait rather than a stock photo. Use the dashboard to set availability and clear confirmation, cancellation and rescheduling policies. Profile approval and public activation remain separate checks.
The independent-instructor marketplace is developing alongside Learn and Drive’s existing school bookings. We do not promise instant matching, guaranteed leads or independent-instructor payouts. Ask our team about the features available for your account before subscribing.

One account, a private application and a human review before activation.
Create or use your account
Register with your own email address and complete email verification. If you already use Learn and Drive, sign in with the same account. There is no need to create a second learner or instructor login.
Tell us about your teaching
Add your contact and registration details, the areas you cover, manual or automatic tuition, vehicle information and a short professional introduction. Upload a clear photo and save a draft if you need to come back later.
Submit for review
Our team reviews your application and teaching credentials. We may ask for clarification before approving it. Submission does not make your details public, and paying never replaces the review.
Set up your approved profile
After approval, sign in again using the same account to open your instructor dashboard. Set teaching hours and booking policies, and arrange profile activation with our team. Any subscription is separate: approval never enrols you, and billing requires your own explicit consent and Direct Debit authorisation.

The right credentials for where you teach
Our team checks teaching credentials before activation. Tell us your actual registration status; do not describe yourself as approved if you are not. England, Scotland and Wales use DVSA registration; Northern Ireland uses DVA registration.
Read the official guidance for checking instructors in Great Britain and choosing an instructor in Northern Ireland. Your subscription is not a qualification, official endorsement or substitute for registration.
A clear monthly subscription
The planned instructor software subscription is £20 total each month, with no setup fee. Applying or being approved does not start a payment. While Direct Debit checkout is unavailable, approved instructors have temporary complimentary access. That access creates no subscription or mandate, and there is no charge for this period or later backdating.
Nothing starts automatically: you must make a fresh choice to subscribe, give explicit consent and authorise a new UK bank Direct Debit mandate in Stripe’s hosted checkout. Only then can the £20 monthly charge begin. We do not ask you to send bank details by email or type them into your profile. Returning from checkout is not proof that a Direct Debit has cleared.
You can stop the next renewal through your billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid month; it does not undo a debit already submitted to your bank. For billing questions, contact info@learnanddrive.uk. Existing accounts are never enrolled or charged automatically when billing becomes available.
Before you apply
Can I apply outside Manchester?
Yes. We welcome applications from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Tell us exactly where you teach. Accepting nationwide applications does not mean we can promise learners or bookings in every area.
Can I upload a photo rather than provide a link?
Yes. The application has a file picker for JPEG, PNG or WebP photos up to 2 MB. Choose a clear professional portrait. Your uploaded photo stays private to you and authorised reviewers until your instructor profile is activated.
Will my existing account and learner progress remain?
Yes. Approval adds the instructor profile to the same account. Your existing sign-in details and learning history are retained. You will be asked to sign in again when your account role changes.
Can I see every learner’s results?
No. A learner uses your private invitation code, checks who they are sharing with and explicitly agrees to share their progress. They can stop sharing. An application, subscription, message or booking does not give you access to someone else’s learning records.
Does approval immediately make me bookable?
No. Approval, public profile activation and teaching availability are separate steps. Your profile starts inactive. Our team must check that your setup is ready before making it publicly available.
Is the subscription a lesson fee or a franchise fee?
No. The £20 monthly price is for the instructor software subscription. It is separate from any lesson fees learners pay. Applying does not create employment, promise referrals or guarantee income.
