A suburban centre with a quick change of pace: quiet residential streets sit close to busy arterial roads and fast multi-lane approaches.
Build confidence around Barlow Moor Road, Burton Road, Palatine Road and the Princess Parkway approaches. Expect parked cars, buses, cycle traffic and decisions that need to be made early when a lane divides.
Practise these skills

- Joining and leaving a faster road without drifting across lanes or braking late.

On the day
Arrive with time to settle and check the centre instructions on GOV.UK. A familiar route is useful, but the examiner can choose a different road or direction.

Our instructors use the local road pattern as a teaching plan, not a promise of a fixed examiner route. DVSA chooses the route on the day, so the goal is to make you confident on the decisions that repeat across the area.
